I have been passionate about website design and development since participating in my first hackathon during middle school. My journey began when I created my first app ten years ago, igniting my desire to pursue a career in this dynamic field. In 2024, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Human-Centered Design from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC), where I honed my skills and deepened my understanding of user experience.
As I seek ways to develop and improve, I have engaged in several volunteer opportunities, allowing me to apply my user experience and web design skills in meaningful ways, particularly for nonprofit organizations. When I’m not helping these organizations, I enjoy exploring my creativity through various artistic outlets, including painting, drawing, and crocheting.
I am excited to continue my journey in web design, where I can combine my technical skills with my passion for creating intuitive and engaging digital experiences.
I led voice of the customer interviews to gather insights into the vision for the website. Using the information collected, I developed wireframes using Figma software that outlined the layout and ensured a user-friendly experience. I focused on creating an intuitive design that met user needs while incorporating feedback from clients to refine the wireframes. Using an Agile foundation, I developed an iterative process that allowed me to create a site that effectively aligned with both user expectations and organizational goals.
I designed and developed a responsive website using WordPress and Beaver Builder. I utilized Beaver Builder’s drag-and-drop functionality to create an intuitive layout that enhanced user engagement and navigability. A well-defined color palette was implemented to ensure visual consistency and brand alignment across the site. Additionally, I integrated interactive elements, including a donation link, to create a seamless user experience with clear calls to action.
I highlight my work developing an eCommerce website using GoDaddy's website builder. I focused on creating a user-friendly shopping experience by organizing product categories clearly and ensuring a smooth checkout process. The design incorporated a cohesive color scheme and intuitive navigation to enhance both aesthetics and usability. Key features like secure payment gateways and product search filters were implemented to improve functionality and boost customer satisfaction.
